Working on effects for the ending sequence this week. A couple of test frames from the animations in progress. So much processing to do but still interesting images. Memories from long ago still so fresh to me. No wonder I liked Peter Pan and felt connected to it.
We have so much going on at the studio that I have to do bits and pieces each day. But the primary drive is the TV pilot because this will end up being a series that brings in constant income and keep our people working.
We met Isaac Blair not too long ago but I have to tell you this man is awesome. And that’s his his nick name, “Awesome Isaac”. This man is quite a film maker, editor and visual effects junky like myself and we work together like a well oiled clock.
The submarine is nearly ready to test in the pool next week. You’ll get to see it all right here and then I build two more for a client.
If the money is right we still do client builds of anything from props to models. We also will make Creature effects and makeup for studios. But it’s my hope that our series will be well received and we will continue to be a full house production company.
Currently a feature motion picture screen play I wrote,”Star Voyager” is in the hands of the beautiful and talented Karen Carlson. She is shopping it to her connections in Louisiana.
in addition my dear friend Whitley Strieber is writing his project that SNG will produce later next year.
More in progress effects. Mostly tests today with 3 layers, boy on green screen and two layers in Lightwave. Hallways and the visitor. Lots more to do but worth posting. Most of these sequences will be given a dreamy look in post.
Effects work it progress. These frames are from work in progress.
We are at 50 minutes of cut show in the edit bay. We still have more to shoot but we will easilly make a 1 hour pilot if not more.
Now I’m working on Whitley Strieber’s intro for the show. Did a green screen test today and tomorrow will create a CGI forest and night sky. Place camp fire flames in front of him. He jesters up and we pan into the night sky and into space.
This is the red ball that hovered over my grandfather and I back in the late 50’s.
We put in another 12 hour day on Sunday. We are getting closer to a finish on principal photography. Editing and visual effects are coming along well. We are past the 2 thirds mark thanks to our wonderful and talented crew!
Here are a few pictures from yesterday and some effects work in progress.
